Do you understand what YAOI is?

Yaoi technically stands for: No climax, no ending and no meaning and usually contains some reference to what is known in the english speaking countries as "slash" characteristics. In other words some yaoi stories do contain graphic scenes of the intimate kind ^^;.

Interpretations of YAOI

There are many uses of the word 'YAOI' on the net in reference to fanfiction and other such stuffs. Some people may interpret YAOI as fics that contain graphic scenes and will rate them as such - these stories are usually restricted to R ratings. Others on the net interpret 'YAOI' as just a loose term for what one might call shounen-ai stories, or boy-boy love (technically it can be said for girls too ^^; but from what we've come across, it's usually guys). These contain tamer versions of 'slash' stories which may and may not be graphic and might go anywhere from the very very tame 'G' rating to the NC-17's which are HIGHLY restricted.

Thus for those people who use the term 'YAOI' very loosely, a separate grading system has been established to warn readers of the story's content. "Lemon" contains graphic scenes that are not appropriate for younger readers and so hopes to warn them of the happenings in the story. "Lime" is a tamer version of 'lemon' in which sex is implied but censored and cut out all together. "Shounen-ai" or boy-boy love indicates the stories where characters hardly ever go past the kissing stage and so can be appropriate for readers under a mature age. Finally, "PWP" literally stands for "Plot? What Plot?" I think that in itself is self-explanatory ^^; If not then might I add that PWP stories are usually very very short with no meaning and is usually restricted to NC-17's.

Our usage of the word YAOI

For the stories that you will find here, both Sutsume-chan and I are the users of the looser interpretation of YAOI and you will not find anything graphic in ANY of the stories. Most of what Sutsume-chan and I write is strictly shounen-ai and some with perhaps a touch of very mild lime. These stories will be marked and it will be your choice as to what you read and what you don't. We are certainly not forcing you to read all of our fics ^_^.

For those who have been kind and reasonable enough to heed our warning and read through all of this, we thank you very much and apologize if you've been bored with everything that you already know. If you would be so kind as to ignore the big link to the yaoi page and click the smiley face that resides next to our names at the end of this, we'd really like your comments on our stories. If you have just clicked the 'back' button because you have not read the warning then I suggest that you have a good looonnnggg read ^_^ might learn a few things.

In conclusion might we add that we are in no way responsible for those who do not follow our warnings and use discretion when it comes to reading our fics. We are in no way forcing you to read them and if you choose so then you are responsible for all that may happen afterward. Therefore don't flame me because I will not take well to flames about yaoi stories when we have so kindly put up this nice *long* warning for you to read. However if you insist on flaming then I can't stop you *evil smile* only to say that send your flames to Sutsume-chan and she'll sort *everything* out with you...
